Hi, I'm Phuong Toan Tran (aka Toan)!
As a photographer, I help businesses, artisans, and associations promote their know-how and elevate their brand image with visuals that capture their essence, texture, and authenticity. After having lived in Belgium, Canada and London (UK), I'm now based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and am available to travel as needed.
I've always been surrounded by artisans and their craft — first, with my parents, as one of them was a chef and the other one, a seamstress. From a young age, I observed their dedication and constant drive to perfect their craft. As a teenager, I began exploring visual arts, discovering the magic that a simple pencil could create on a sheet of paper. Later on, my studies and work exposed me to the technical and scientific skills and know-how of engineering, first in the biomedical field, and then in artificial intelligence. After eight years in this field, I felt the need to reconnect with art and craftsmanship. It was then that photography became my passion and my profession. My engineering background provided me with project management and problem-solving skills and allowed me to develop an efficient, organized, and creative process for my photographic work.
Today, I help artisans and businesses showcase their unique know-hows and attract more clients by creating impactful visuals that are true to their essence. My goal is to highlight what makes each business exceptional, using photography to tell their authentic story and elevate their brand image.
You can find me hiking in nature, traveling around the world, exploring new meditation practices, or cooking some homey food.
A vibrant health, a harmonious simplicity, and a tiny bit of spice!
